Why Sacred Kitchen?
His journey began at the age of 15, nurtured by the teachings of Eastern masters that shaped his unique approach to cooking.
Noted for her ability to handle large-scale events, Mayra has demonstrated her skill in cooking for crowds of more than 1,000 people, without compromising the quality or taste of her creations.
In 2018, he founded the acclaimed Namasté restaurant, a landmark in the culinary scene that quickly gained national recognition. His achievements include the "Best Vegan Restaurant" award given by the prestigious "Somos" magazine of El Comercio newspaper in 2023, consolidating Namasté's position at the pinnacle of Peruvian vegan gastronomy.
The same year, Mayra was honored with the title of "Best Vegan Chef" by the Animal Save Movement Foundation, a testament to her commitment to ethical and sustainable cooking.
Since 2023, Mayra has redefined her professional focus, dedicating herself exclusively to creating culinary experiences for yoga and ancestral medicine retreats, including ayahuasca ceremonies. This transition marks the birth of her innovative concept of "sacred cuisine", fusing conscious nutrition with spirituality and ancestral traditions.
Mayra Velit is not only an exceptional chef, but a visionary who continues to explore the frontiers of vegetarian and vegan cuisine, creating dishes that nourish both body and spirit.
